Mirrow Provocator

Designer Alexander Malyshev has prepared a detailed project for a city car, called the Mirrow Provocator. What we’ve got here is a virtual city car for four passengers and their luggage, roughly the same size as the Smart ForTwo. It is based around tubular frame and uses many details made from polymers. Thus, Malyshev explains,

 the body can more effectively absorb and distribute the impact energy in case of an accident. Interestingly, access for the driver and passengers would be provided by a door located on the rear side of the machine. Side doors on the other hand are only used in emergency situations. This construction, according to the designer, provides “the highest level of safety,” thanks to the rally car-inspired cage. The interior is minimalistic, but features adjustable steering wheel, power windows, mirrors, seats, and sunroof, entertainment system for the rear seats, navigation system, and more. Xenon projector headlights, automatic transmission, rain and light sensors, and cruise control are also part of the optionally available equipment. The Provocator has been envisioned in two versions – with a classic combustion engine and with hybrid or electric powertrain. The first one could use a small three-cylinder turbocharged petrol or diesel engine with displacement of up to 1.5 liters. The hybrid and electric variants could use a large package of batteries, installed in the floor and providing a range of 217-249 miles (350-400 kilometers).
